Crush Hour for Audible x Mercury Studios

Podcast pick of the week in Sunday Times Culture and The Guardian.

This was a lovely writing gig. I wrote an episode of a six-part series arc following love stories that find their spark on the London transport network. I was brought on to write an authentic gay love story and bring some wit, and a soft edge to the well-worn ‘meet cute’ trope. The series was led by writer Freya Slipper, who directed with Chris Foggin, and each episode has songs by Chris Read.

Series Cast includes

Ellie Goulding, Douglas Booth, Omari Douglas, Layton Williams, Philip Arditti, Julia Davis, Rory Kinnear, Paul Kaye and more.

This clever concept musical, featuring interrelated stories, is created by Freya Slipper with songs by Chris Read. The best of the five episodes are written by Slipper or Doug Crossley... there is something undeniably promising here that deserves to be staged live.
